The Directors of Markets Down Under Pty Ltd, Kerry and Terri Askew, have been involved in the management of public market places since February 1985. Their enterprises in Victoria have been “award winning” through public acclamation. An indication of their business skills and integrity in their chosen field has it that most of their market places have been convened and managed under State or Local Government Licence. The issuing of such licences is not only based on the acumen of applicants, but also on the public worth of appointees.

Kerry and Terri, through their market businesses, have been richly acknowledged for more than thirty (30) years for their contributions, financial or otherwise, favouring Community interests, the underprivileged and the disadvantaged. They have always had a particular interest in sponsoring young athletes in their sporting aspirations and endeavours.

The lead representative and Liaison Officer of Markets Down Under Pty Ltd in Queensland is Terri and in recent years she has travelled extensively overseas reviewing the operation of market places, their trends and marketing strategies.

Terri’s pet project at the moment is the Emerald Lakes Gourmet Food Market which she commenced in early 2011, after being invited to orchestrate same by the renowned property developers Nifsan. This Market, which trades of a Thursday afternoon/evening, has proven to be a boon for local residents and has a great following of regular foodies and shoppers alike. The International eat in or take away food available at Emerald Lakes is also a great attraction for tourists. Above all, though, Terri feels both proud and privileged to be able to foster many Gold Coast small businesses through favour of this Market.

Currently, Markets Down Under is all set to open the reinvigorated Sanctuary Markets from The Village Green at the Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary of a Friday late afternoon/evening. Once opened in early September this family friendly fresh produce and exceptional one stop local and international food outlet is sure to be extremely popular with takeaway or eat in patrons. Delicious plates of homeland food from all over the World will be available.
