ATTENDANCE

This Market is an all weather market and will operate regardless of weather. Weather conditions will be no excuse for non attendance and site fees paid will not be refunded. Please note that as a stallholder you have an obligation to attend the market and support your fellow stallholders who rely heavily on the market as a source of income. The success of the market depends on its stallholders committing themselves to attend each and every market regardless of adverse weather.

STALLHOLDER VEHICLE PARKING

Stallholders must park in the car park area designated for their use. Under no circumstance is a stallholder to park in the car park designated for Market customers. When entering or exiting the Market area drivers must drive with extreme caution and vehicle speed must not exceed 5KPH.

RUBBISH

It is the stallholder’s responsibility to remove his/her rubbish from the Market area and to leave his/her site and its surrounds clean and free of any debris. Rubbish, boxes and cartons must not be placed in or around rubbish bins in the Market preinct and must not be dumped in any bins surounding the Market precinct.

SAFETY

It is the stallholders responsible to ensure that he/she has the correct equipment to protect their stock and it is also the stallholder’s responsibility to ensure that his/her Gazebos are properly secured at all times either by weights or sandbags. Stallholders using any type of gas or electrical appliance must have a suitable, regularly checked fire extinguisher or fire blanket. Electrical leads must be tested and tagged on a yearly basis and electrical appliances must be tested and tagged every six (6) months.  Any signage must not impede pedestrian flow, must not be in any way offensive and must be clean, tidy and properly secured.

INSURANCE

It is the stallholder’s responsibility to ensure that they are properly insured for Public Liability, Product Liability (where applicable) and Personal Indemnity. It is the Market’s policy that you carry with you at all times a copy of your insurance policy. From a public safety point of view stall areas particular to each stallholder should always remain clean and safe to the public at all times. Food products, as a matter of absolute insistence of practice, should meet Statutory Health requirements so that such products in no way present a health risk to the consumer.

Market Management, its operator/s, servants and/or agents shall not be liable for any loss or damage to stock or equipment.

PERMITS

It is the responsibility of the stallholder to ensure that he/she trades in accordance with Market, State and Local Council Regulations and that he/she conforms to any Australian standards pertaining to the product being sold. It is the stallholder’s responsibility to ensure that he/she has on hand at all times any Council Licenses or Permits pertaining to the product being sold and that their stall setup meets all Council Regulations.

PRODUCT

  • Labelling of product and produce must be in accordance with Legislative Guidelines and Regulations;
  • Taste testing and sampling of any product must comply with Council & Health Regulations and that all required Licenses are in place;
  • Produce must be of the highest quality.
  • Any scales used for weighing of produce must be accurate and certified as being appropriate for commercial use in accordance with Weights and Measures Regulations.

POWER

Electricity is available and will be charged at a flat rate of $20 for up to 3 leads and $10 for any additional leads. This fee will be collected on market day.

PERSONAL DATA

It is the stallholder’s responsibility to ensure that Market Management has current information on file i.e. ‘phone numbers, addresses and email.

END OF TRADE

All goods and stock must be packed up first and ready to be loaded into your vehicle. Due care and patience is necessary when loading vehicles.

DOGS

Due to Government/Council Health Regulations dogs will not be permitted in the Market precinct.

GENERAL MARKET RULES

  • Stallholders do not own their site;
  • Market sites are hired on a week by week basis;
  • Stallholders have no exclusivity to any product;
  • Market Management has the right to cancel, alter or re-allocate sites;
  • Stallholders cannot sublet, transfer or sell their sites;
  • Market has the right, for promotional purposes, to use stallholder images, photos containing images of the stallholder and his/her product;
